About NAS Whidbey Island
Considered by many to be a highly desirable Naval Air Station of the United States Navy, Naval Air Station Whidbey Island is situated in Island County Washington very close to the city of Oak Harbor. Navy search and rescue operations are also conducted from the base. Sea and mountain rescues are conducted for both the Department of Defense and the greater Pacific Northwest community when needed.
